Description
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is the default material for desktop 3D printers. It is useful in a broad range of printing applications, and is odourless with low-warp. PLA filament is also one of the more eco-friendly 3D printer materials available; it is made from corn-starch and requires less energy to process compared to petroleum-based plastics. PLA plastic is used in food containers, such as candy wrappers, and biodegradable medical implants.
